My childhood Comic Book Shop…1126 Morton Blvd. Late 1980’s.

On my Comic illustration webpage (ewokdrawscomics.com), I mentioned in my bio that around 11 or so I would mow lawns to buy my comic books. I started to think about the shop I would go to in town, the name of which has been completely lost in my memory. So I thought I could google map the location and found the building that had the comic shop in it. It was this red barn looking building down the street from the frozen yogurt craze that popped up around that time called TCBY… Anyway, the comic shop that was in this building was responsible for 90% of the comics I would buy growing up. Not sure what year it closed or the name of it, but if anyone knows, feel free to drop me an email. I have a lot of fond memories visiting this place weekly and painstakingly picking out with issues I was going to grab and which I would have to leave behind due to my small budget. Down the street also, was a family owned business called Brants Bike shop, where all the BMX kids would get their bikes fixed to race on Jockey Hill, which wasn’t that far away.
